Hurricane Maria has been one of the most terrible experiences I have experienced at the country and personal level. Not only for the lack of basic services such as drinking water, food, hospitals and government services, but for the lack of security and the little or almost no contact that I could have with my family, my parents, nephews and brothers who live in the center of the island, about an hour from the capital, where I live. I try to be a conscious person with my surroundings and to be in solidarity with the communities that I have around me, so as I lost my job after the hurricane because the place where I worked closed due to lack of local economy, I dedicated myself to doing all the voluntary work possible taking supplies and coordinating with friends to help in different towns on the island. Almost a year after the hurricane there is still a lot to do.
